With a background in fashion, art and design Claudia Cukrov thrives on ideas and innovation. Following a BA in Fashion and Textile Design, in 2006 Claudia wrote a thesis on Perth’s youth fringe culture, identifying key trends emerging from both the young creative participants and the retail market. A columnist on international trends for the Sunday Times Magazine’s Cool Hunting page, Claudia traveled to New York mid-2008 for an internship at top fashion forecasting agency Fashion Snoops.
Changing course to focus on the diverse field of lifestyle trend forecasting, Claudia took up work with world-renowned trends and innovation company PSFK. Amid contributing creative insights to the PSFK blog, Claudia performed trends analysis and concept development for Target, competitive brand analysis for Apple and helped organise PSFK’s Conference Asia.
Still a regular writer and researcher at PSFK, Claudia has also contributed Perth trends and insights to market research and trend consulting firm Youth Intelligence, ideas and innovation blog Uncluttered White Spaces, subculture online guide SixThousand and contemporary arts magazine ReelTime.
Back in Australia, Claudia recently worked with award winning brand development and management company Block Branding to create a Trends report for the West Australian State Museum as part of their re-branding.
